The Great Waters Education Mission
… to encourage local youth to pursue careers related to performing arts by; providing scholarships for college students, working with booster clubs to raise awareness for their programs, and collaborating with other arts organizations to support and elevate educational opportunities.
Since its inception, Great Waters Scholarship Program has contributed financial assistance to music students in the Lakes Region, helping them on the journey to connect their gifts with the needs of the music world.
Great Water Scholarship applications are accepted beginning in January each year from New Hampshire Lakes Region residents. High school, college or graduate students with an interest in pursuing a career in some facet of music education or performance qualify to apply for financial assistance. Financial assistance scholarship recipients are announced in May, and honored at one of the Great Waters concerts.
The scholarship program is funded in part through the generosity of donors, including the Nancy P. Marriott Foundation.
In 2018, Great Waters awarded scholarships to four Lakes Region Seniors.
Congratulations to these fine students:
- Wyatt Corneau, Brookfield NH
- Page Halsey, Center Harbor, NH
- Hannah Mellan, Alton, NH
- Nathan Wright, Alton, NH

Educational outreach is one of the cornerstones of our mission at Great Waters, and it brings such joy.
Last year, Great Waters was able to enrich the lives of our musical youth by sponsoring the New Hampshire Master Chorale’s 2018 Children’s Chorus Festival.
Great Waters is proud to partner with the Kingswood Boosters, giving the students the opportunity to run a 50/50 raffle at each concert to help support their arts initiatives.
