Message From Our Chair Heather Ashton
We are proud to be entering our
fourteenth season offering a great line-up of performers including The
Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Rita Coolidge, the Capitol Steps,
and much more.
As in past years, a big thank you goes to our sponsors,
donors, advertisers, staff, Board members, Brewster Academy
and our volunteers. Without the help of all these groups we would be unable to
bring quality programs to our stage.
We invite you all to come this summer and sit under our
magical acoustic pavilion, enjoy the sun setting on the lake and listen to some
great music with friends or family.

Scholarships - Deadline May 1st
Supporting education in the arts has long been one
of the major goals and activities of your Festival.
Offering scholarships is another opportunity for us to
promote music and music education in the Lakes Region.
"Th e
Great Waters Scholarship Program was established in 2004 to provide
financial assistance as well as the opportunity to participate in
choral workshops and sing with a professional chorus and orchestra,"
says Great Waters Music Festival Board Member and Education Chair, Kim
Hunter. "In 2007 we awarded scholarships to nine local youths
in the areas of vocal and violin performance, music management and
music therapy studies."
Scholarship applications are accepted between
January and May 1 each year from New Hampshire Lakes Region residents.
The Festival offers two types of scholarships.

High
school, college or graduate students with an interest in pursuing a
career in some facet of music education or performance qualify to apply
for financial assistance. Financial assistance scholarship recipients
are announced in June and honored at one of our concerts.
Scholarships
are also available for students of any age to participate in the annual
summer Masterworks Festival Chorus. Recipients attend choral and vocal
workshops and rehearse with 100 other selected Eastern Seaboard singers
and a professional orchestra in preparation for the annual Great Waters Orchestra Concert on July 19th.
$1 per ticket goes towards the Education Fund.
